A runner in today´s bull run was gored in the thigh while attempting to climb onto a barrier outside the former Bar Pepon.
The youth was quickly rescued by security staff and was attended in an ambulance while waiting for the bulls to exit the bull ring so he could be admitted to the medical centre.
The run today was extremely long, some 24 minutes and 45 seconds, and complicated. The bulls were still looking for more victims in the bull ring at the end of the run, delaying the operation on the runner´s thigh which was carried out in the medical centre at the bull ring.
According to medical staff the runner was sent to hospital after the operation where he is expected to recover well.
