OPEN AIR THEATRE BRINGS CURTAIN DOWN ON MEDIEVAL CELEBRATIONS

Last night the forecourt of the Molinico formed the stage for “Entre el patio y el trono, Calasparra S. XIII”, an original work by Antonia Martínez Llorente, interpreted by children’s group, young and adult members of the Comedians Workshop of Calasparra.
This theatrical representation offered scenes from the court of King Sancho IV and underlined the decisive role of María de Molina, as well as showing scenes of everyday Medieval life with children enacting games of the era.
This event brought to an end a weekend of celebrations to Commemorate the Donation of the Villa of Calasparra to San Juan.
The only remaining event on the Programme is tomorrow, Tuesday June 9,as the Medieval Costume Parade takes place on the fiesta day to mark the Day of the Region of Murcia.
