The biggest natural energy plant of its type in the whole of Europe which has been constructed right here in Calasparra will be officially opened and handed over to Spanish businesses this week.
The Puerto Errado 2 thermo solar energy plant covers an area of 40 football pitches and will provide electricity for 15,000 homes.
The plant will start commercial production this month when the Swiss five companies responsible for the project will hand over the reins to Spanish companies.
