In the last two days nearly 40 more patients with Covid-19 have been admitted to the region´s hospitals and 13 more in intensive care.
The number of in patients with the virus in the region is currently at its highest since August 24.
There are currently 140 hospital admissions with Covid-19 and 36 of these are in intensive care.
The ages of patients in intensive care range from 44 to 83 years old. Some 50% of the patients in “grave” condition with the virus are not vaccinated.
Sadly, another Covid death was registered in the last 24 hours as a 92 year old man has died of the virus.
In the last 24 hours 398 new cases have been confirmed in the region bringing the total of active cases to 3,668.
The death toll in the region currently stands at 1,775.
