Sadly, Nexonr has to report one death from Covid-19 in Calasparra in the last 48 hours.
There were eight deaths in the region in over the same period, aged between 48 and 91 years.
No new cases of the virus were confirmed in Calasparra in the last 24 hours and there are currently six active cases.
Regionally numbers are on the increase, apparently reflecting the result of relaxation over the festive period.
There are now more than 4,000 confirmed cases (4,077) and of these 3,855 are isolated at home.
Some 665 cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in the region in the last 48 hours.
There are 222 patients hospitalized with the virus and 66 are in intensive care.
