The traditional “Noche de Migas” of the Fiestas of the Saints broke all records this year as 46 local groups/clubs lit their fires, cooked their migas and vied for the prize of the night.
Temperatures soared as the heat from the fires aumented the 37 degrees in the street but this did not deter the competitors nor the public who crowded into Madre Carmen Del Niño Jesus Street.
Hundreds of Calasparrians and visitors took part in the festivitites which included competititons to throw a grain or rice and a grape.
The youth group, the Real-Cohólicos took the first prize and the youth groups, La Gobernanta and Borocalos, took second and third respectively.
Juan Antonio Ortega García threw the grian of rice the furthest and David Jiménez took first prize for throwing the grape.
