NEW WARNING LIGHT FOR VEHICLES OBLIGATORY FROM JANUARY 1

The red warning triangle is will officially become a thing of the past from January 1, 2026, when it will be obligatory to use the new geolocatable warning light on your vehicle in case of accident or breakdown.
The Local Police advise that the V16 3.0 Geolocated Beacon (Baliza), that provides emergency services with the location of accidents and breakdowns will be obligatory for all vehicles from this date.
Before you buy this light please ensure that it complies with the recommendations of the DGT (Director General of Traffic).
This item is widely available in shops and online. There are cheaper versions available that  do not comply with the regulations and will not be legal.
Readers are advised that the red triangle will no longer be in use as it is considered dangerous to leave your vehicle to place it on the highway/motorway:
