The
privatization of the ITV (MOT) testing service in Murcia has led to a
mushrooming of ITV stations in the region and now one has opened a few miles
from Calasparra.
The new ITV Noroeste is situated on the right hand side of the of the third
exit, leading to the traffic lights (Cehegin/Calasparra).
The opening hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 9pm and Saturdays 8am to 2pm.
The aim of the privatization is to encourage competition and lower prices for
the motorists. The new station has not published its prices but, logically, it
should be cheaper than the regionally run station in Caravaca.
