Work on a new integral security centre which will be the headquarters for the local police, the Guardia Civil and the Civil, Protection service may start as early as this March, according to the Mayor of Calasparra, Jesus Navarro who met with the President’s Advisor, Manual Campos, yesterday.
The new building will be built at the entrance of the Peace Park or in the Avenida Juan Ramón Jiménez by the side of the entrance to the industrial estate and will include an office for the administration of DNI. The project will be subsidized by the regional government.
At the meeting the Mayor also raised other matters including the reforestation of the Sierra del Molino which is expected to begin in October; the expansion of the municipal cemetery; and various environmental projects.
