Calasparr’s «Ruta del Arroz» has been recogised as one of the 32 distinctive «azul» public footpaths in the Murcia region.
The Ruta del Arroz is the second footpath to receive the «Azul» recognition, the first was the Ruta del Bayo recognized last year.
This addition to the Blue List of footpaths makes the Murcia region the second autonomous region with the most Blue Foopaths in Spain.
Calasparra Town Hall has declared it is » very proud» of this recognition that gives value to the natural surroundings of Calasparra and its identity linked to rice.
This distinction is awarded by the Association of Environmental Education and the Consumer, that singles out itineraries that promote environmental conservation, education and sustainable tourism.
