This recently born baby deer was found yesterday, along with the placenta, by members of the Forestry Brigade when they were working to extinguish the fire in the Casa Escamez area of Moratalla.
The tiny animal is safe and well and being cared for by vets.
The fire affected eight hectares of forest terrain and four hectares of cultivated land.
Thanks to the members of the Forestry Brigade this little animal was swiftly removed from danger and taken to safety.
Fantastic effort!!!
