As the International Tourist Show, FITUR, in Madrid closes its doors for another year Calasparra has broken all records with visitors numbers of 245,000 at the stall shared with Cehegin and Caravaca.
Part of the intense promotion of Calasparra were hostesses dressed in sacks of the famous Calasparra Rice who were photographed with many politicians, television stars and celebrities during the Show.
Also on the stall was information about the natural beauties of Calasparra including the River Segura and local gastronomy including the rice “Bomba,” cheeses from Tio Rest and Villa Vieja and the Ecological Lobrot Conserve. General tourism included the Sanctuary, the bull fights, the rice fields, the Puerto Cave, the September Fiestas and the Almadenes Canyon
