A motorist was transferred to Caravaca Hospital after the car he was driving left the road just outside Calasparra and ended up in the river Segura.
The driver was rescued by emergency services, including the police, the Guardia Civil and the Fire Brigade.
The accident, for reasons unknown, happened on the RM-730, at kilometre 42, just over the river bridge coming into Calasparra from the Venta de Olivas, at 4.30pm yesterday, Wednesday.
