MORE THAN 800,000 EUROS FACELIFT AT EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT

The Emergency Department at Caravaca Hospital has been remodelled and expanded to improve services to the 72,000 service users from Calasparra, Moratalla, Bullas and Cehegin.
The 806,000 euros project allows for two different emergency services in the same department: one for patients with respiratory problems and another for general emergencies.
There are also more treatment rooms and additional beds for patients with respiratory problems.
The Emergency Department has toilets, a waiting room, and the triage facilitates has been expanded from nine to 11 treatment rooms.
There are two independent treatment rooms, one with six seats for patients with respiratory problems and the other with 12 seats for general emergencies; and five new beds for patients with respiratory issues.

The paediatric waiting room is now independent and has also been updated.
The porters´ area has been improved as has the admissions administrative area.
The 806,000 euro budget includes 690,000 euros for reforms and expansion; 87,000 for furniture and new equipment; and 29,000 for the new isolation treatment rooms.
The improvements affect 485 square metres with 224 square metres of new space.
