Dogs Rescue Calasparra are appealing for donations as another young puppy is abandoned at the gates of the refuge bringing the total this month to more than 30 puppies rescued by this magnificent association.
In an emotional appeal Dogs Rescue say:
«We don´t have words to describe what is happening to us.
This morning we arrived at the refuge to find a box and a puppy inside. We just can´t cope. We don´t have the strength and are completely overwhelmed. We have taken in more than 30 puppies in the last month.
We believe this latest arrival is the brother of the litter left here a week ago: full of fleas and ticks on his body and ears.
Karma comes to everybody and to the people who have done this it will arrive!! Thank goodness they are better off here than with you because you are…..better not say what we think!!!»
This is a desperate appeal for help, spurred by the latest arrival, for donations to feed and care for all the dogs and puppies heartlessly abandoned in Calasparra by owners who take no responsibility, don´t respect the law or the well being of their animals. More than happy for someone else to rescue and care for them.
The emotional toll of the volunteers at Dogs Rescue has brought them to breaking point. The limitless cruelty of some local residents is heart breaking. Although donations can´t calm the emotions nor wipe out the trauma of finding yet another tiny life abandoned to fate it will pay for vital veterinary care, medicines and food.
