Some 206,080 euros, under Plan Infomur 2017, will fund 500 people daily to watch over the Sierras and fight fires from June 1 to September 30.
The Government Committee has given the green light to a coordinated prevention and fire fighting plan, Plan Infomur 2017, which will serve 33 municipal areas, including Calasparra, during the high fire risk season.
The regional government and the municipal areas of the region will collaborate under the Plan, which includes the service of voluntary Civil Protection officers.
