The association, Blade Runners of Calasparra, has confirmed that some 132 walkers have signed on for the 42k nocturnal walk around the Sierra del Puerto.
The walk starts at 9pm from Calasparra Station on Saturday August 5 and walkers are expected to finish around 6am in the morning.
“We will be taking advantage of the moon as we walk in this singular place. We are sure it will be an enriching and beautiful experience given that we have participants from all over the region, as well as 30 local walkers,” said a spokesperson for Blade Runners.
Walkers will be supported by members of the Red Cross and the Civil Protection.
