Despite the axe that hovers over San Javier airport there will be six times more flights to European destinations this summer:
From Easter there will be flights will be increased from five to 30: including Ryanair,
which will run flights to 10 destinations in the UK.
In October last year Ryanair cut flights from San Javier to two UK destinations: London and Dublin.
In addition to the three companies, Ryanair, Easy Jet and Jetair Fly, Norwegian Air, will offer flights to Oslo and three other Norwiegan citites. Jet2.com will run seven routes to the UK, including Belfast, and companies from Austria and the Chec Republic will run between 10 and 15 aeroplanes a week.
Ryanair will fly to Birmingham, Bournemouth, Dublín, East Midlands, Eindhoven, Leed-Bradford, Glasgow, London (Luton), London (Stansted) and Mánchester.
Jet.com, will fly to Belfast, East Midland, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leed-Bradford, Manchester and Newcastle.
Norwegian Air will fly to Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger and Trondheim.
Austrian Airlines will fly to Vienna, Linnz and Klagenfurt.
Easyjet will fly to Bristol and London (Gatwick).
Jetair Flay will fly to Brussels and Air Nostrum will fly to Madrid.
