The fire on the Molino was finally declared extinguished at 7.15pm this evening, Tuesday:
Over the weekend the wind rekindled the fire on the slopes of the hill but, although helicopters were called in, the fire was put out without their assistance.
However, due to this development the fire could not be declared “out” until the slopes were dampened down again and there were no new fires over the last 48 hours.
Seprona agents are currently investigating the cause of the fire which began on agricultural land near to the Flordia area around 5pm on Friday..
