The Ministry of Health has issued the following advice on how to stay safe when going out and returning home.
OUTSIDE YOUR HOME
Try not to touch surfaces and if you do wash your hands with soap and water.
Efficient and frequent hand washing is more effective than wearing gloves.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
Maintain a two metre distance from anyone else
Use a mask: obligatory when in enclosed and open air spaces where social distancing (two metres) is not possible.
If you use a car clean it frequently, particularly the surfaces you touch
ON ARRIVING HOME
Take off your shoes and leave them near to or outside the front door
Wash your hands with soap and water
Leave the things you don´t need (keys, wallet etc) outside or near the front door
Clean the objects you have used outside (glasses, mobile etc) with a tissue and alcohol or soap and water
Don´t shake your outside garments. Put them in a plastic bag until you wash them. Wash them at a high temperature
