Calasparra Town Hall has introduced a system of micro credits from public funds with favorable terms and six years to 10 years to repay.
Although these micro credits must be obtained through your bank they are 100% public funded and have repayment conditions and are interest free.
If you are having difficulties paying your rent due to the Covid-19 health crisis, ie. Unemployed, ERTE, self-employed or on short time you may qualify.
The threshold per household is 537.84 euros income monthly, which is higher if there are children or other dependents,
The micro credits are aimed at helping those in private rented accommodation.
If the owner of the property is a large company you can negotiate up to four months’ rent holiday; a discount on the four months’ rent and three years to repay. If this is not possible you may qualify for a micro credit.
There is no obligation on small property owners to negotiate rent holidays and thus the micro credits are aimed principally at these tenants.
Tenants should remember their property cannot be repossessed for rent arrears before six months after the end of the State of Alarm.
If you rental contract runs out during the State of Alarm it is automatically extended for six months.

OMIC will advise and, where necessary, represent your interests free of charge. However, if you don´t speak Spanish you will need to take an interpreter.
