Crowds are enjoying the The Medieval Market «La Encomienda,» which has become an intrinsic part of the celebrations to mark the Donation of Calasparra to the Order of San Juan.
The children´s corner in the Plaza Emilio Perez Piñero is jam packed full of competitions, games and entertainment.
Stalls in the market include demonstrations of hand crafts and traditional craftsmanship, ecological products, traditional art and jewellery and much, much more.
The Calasparra Choir are singing live (see programme on this site) and street theatre and live music create a medieval atmosphere in central town.
The market ends tomorrow evening. Don´t miss the grand Medieval Parade at 8pm on Sunday.
Below are a few photos which catch the essence of the market.
