Letur, the historic and picturesque town of Castilla de Mancha, just a short drive from Calasparra. that has long been on the list for local excursionists, is another victim of the flash floods caused by the DANA earlier this week.
According to the Mayor of Letur, there has been an avalanche of calls from all over Spain and he is is profoundly grateful for the enormous demonstration of solidarity from citizens, businesses and organizations.
In a letter he continues: «This tragedy has caused very grave damage and in response to the multitude of economic offers that we are receiving we have opened a special municipal bank account for donations that will be destined exclusively at the recuperation of Letur.
