The Mayoress of Calasparra, Teresa Garcia, has repeated her demand for 24 hour emergency medical services in Calasparra to cover weekends and fiesta days.
At a meeting with the Head of the Regional Department of Health, Juan Jose Pedreño, she also presented the possibility of moving the pediatric centre to the wing of the Medical Centre currently not used, making use of the garen area.
Two GPs currently act as pediatricians and the Mayoress has asked for a specialist pediatrician for Calasparra.
She also asked for an additional diabetic service for Caravaca Hospital.
