The Mayor of Calasparra, Jesus Navarro, is currently in Brussels as part of a Socialist Party delegation aimed at defending local agriculture, tourism and jobs.
The delegation, led by the party´s General Secretary, Rafael González Tovar, will hold meetings with various officials and Socialist Deputies.
During a tight schedule the delegation will meet Iratxe García Pérez and Luis Manuel Capoulas, Deputies of the Commission on Agriculture and Rural Development to discuss the PAC subsidies and the plight of young farmers.
Secondly, they will meet Inés Ayala, member of the Transport and Tourism Commission, followed by a reunion with Sergio Gutiérrez Prieto to discuss The Iberian Linx Project.
The Mayor of Calasparra joins the delegation as a Regional Deputy and Secretary of Municipal Policy.
