The Popular University, adult education centre in Calle Mayor, has organised a workshop during May to help residents make their medieval costumes in time for the celebrations of St Juan in June.
Every year the town celebrates the “donation of Calasparra to the Order of St Juan” with various events in medieval costume including a dinner and a grand procession.
The workshop, Making Medieval Costumes, lasts for 20 hours and aims to facilitate residents making their own costumes and accessories.
The participants will be able to choose the costume they wish to make and benefit from expert help to create it.
In order to take part in this workshop all participants should have some idea of tailoring.
