The final bull run of the September fiestas was eventful as one runner had a lucky escape when he fell just outside the gates of the bull ring and several of the bulls, for the second time in a week, executed a u- turn and ran back through the gates towards the crowds.
The bulls, some weighing up to 550 kilos, ran separately and the two early arrivals in the bull ring did an about turn and ran back and met the rest of the group at the beginning of Calle Ordonez. As a result the bull run longer than usual at 4 minutes and 26 seconds.
A young man who fell outside the bull ring gates directly into the path of the bulls saved himself from injury by remaining motionless as the animals passed.
Tonight the final concert by the Association Band of Music in the Plaza de la Corredera and the Fireworks mark the end of the fiestas.
Tomorrow all is back to normal with the usual Friday market where we will have our usual ecological vegetable stall and the shops and bars will revert to normal opening hours.
