The Superior Council of the religious brotherhoods of Calasparra (el Cabildo de Confradias) has launched a solidarity campaign for the victims of the Dana in Letur.
There were six fatalities as a result of the flash floods that also affected 181 homes, 11 of which must be demolished.
The reconstruction of this picturesque town in Albacete, a mere 20 minutes by car from Calasparra, will take years and many of the residents have lost their homes and their possessions.
