The local parish priest, José Manuel Martínez Rosique, gave the opening speech for Semana Santa in the Murcian village of San Gines on Sunday.
He was accompanied by the Mayor of Calasparra, Jose Velez, members of his family and residents of San Gines and Calasparrra.
