More than 300 people were ejected from an illegal “bottleón” (open air bottle party) in the early hours of Sunday morning on the Moratalla-Calasparra border.
Many of the party goers, who had paid an entrance fee to the organizers, fled when the police arrived but 50 people were identified and a search for the rest has been mounted.
A spokesperson at Calasparra Town Hall said: “This kind of behaviour can´t be tolerated. It is essential we all obey the Coid-19 protocols and restrictions.”
The party was raided at 5am on Sunday morning. Police officers imposed heavy fines on those identified and confiscated a quantity of alcohol.
According to their investigations, local police believe the party was organised on the internet through social media.
