Local police
are currently looking for thieves who stole 350 kilos of copper and stashed it
at a property on the outskirts of Calasparra.
The material was found on April 1 after local police followed a vehicle found
on the industrial estate. After opening various lines of enquiry they discovered
the stolen copper hidden at the cited property.
The material was confiscated and transferred to the police station thus
preventing its sale on the black market at a price of around 2,500 euros.
Local police are now looking to arrest the thieves and return the copper to its
rightful owners.
