LOCAL HEALTH CENTRE APPEAL TO STAY AT HOME

The Health Centre at Calasparra has made an impassioned plea on Facebook to all Calasparrians, but particularly those at most risk, to stay at home during the State of Alarm.
Noting that Calasparra has the highest rate of contagion of the coronavirus in the North West Murcia region the spokesperson said the Centre had noted “a certain relaxation” of the regulation not to go out, imposed by the State of Alarm, and that “there were many people in the streets.”
Elderly people over the age of 65 years, who form part of the most vulnerable group and are likely to be most affected if they catch the virus, are going out to buy bread and do the shopping, he said. They should stay at home and not go out.
If elderly or vulnerable residents needed shopping they should give their data to the Guardia Civil who can liaise with services at the Town Hall.
If they need medicines they should give their data to the Protection Civil who can arrange to pick it up and deliver it to them.
“We understand that many days of isolation and being confined to their homes can be very frustrating,” says the spokesperson, “and we send our encouragement to everyone in these difficult times. However, contagion of the virus is spreading in Calasparra, more than any other part of the region. We already have 19 cases.
“ Do not go out. Stay at Home. Help us to keep you all safe,” added the spokesperson.
