Writer and legal consultant, Fulgencio Caballero Martínez, known as Pencho, resident of Calasparra but born in Barcelona, and finalist for the national Planet Prize in 2010, has published a new novel.
His second, the novel is called “A la sombra de un ángel negro” (In the Shadow of the Black Angel), and is based in the Moroccan War, in the Rif region, between 1909 and 1927. A fictitious story, within its historical context, of revenge and friendship.
Pencho wrote the book after discovering antique and valuable documents relating to the period.
His first novel was called “La caja de membrillo” (The Box of Quinces).
The book will be officially presented on April 4 in the Municipal Auditorium. Invitations are available from the Town Hall.
He will be talking about the book on Radio Calasparra this Thursday at 11am.
