Local artist and designer, Mar Garcia, has designed the label for our own ecological olive oil produced exclusively from our olive orchards here in Villa Vieja.
Our oil, which is not filtered but allowed to settle naturally to maintain all its vitamins and qualities, has been cold processed by a small, family olive press in Blanca.
The original design includes the form of a map of the region of Murcia represented by an olive tree.
Soon this exclusive olive oil will be on sale on the SALDI ecological vegetable stall on Calasparra´s Friday market.
This week the stall will offer parsnips, beetroot and Swedes plus Brussels tops, spinach, cabbages, leeks, broccoli, celery and Swiss chard. The first of the crisp, pink radishes are also ready for sale.
In the garden we have lettuces, cauliflower, carrots, more sprouts, savoy cabbages, purple sprouting, curly kale and crisp white fennel bulbs: all awaiting a little Calasparra sunshine to put a spring in their step.
We remind customers that shopping early on the ecological stall is recommended to avoid disappointment.
