There has been a very popular serialization of a book by Julia Navarro on Spanish television recently in which the protoganist makes a living from designing and making clothes for the rich and famous. Apparently the series has produced a run on sewing machines!!
In response to this emerging interest in tailoring the local adult education centre, the Universidad Popular in Calle Mayor, is offering a 20 hour course in basic sewing tecniques.
