Learning to carve Serrano Ham is something of an art form here in Spain but is also vital in order to fully exploit the beast!
In my house a leg of ham provides tapas, main meals, the bones make stock and soup and then the dogs eat the bones. This makes a whole joint a very economical buy. However, even if you prefer to buy a “point” (punto) from your local butcher this course at the Popular University adult education centre will still help you to get the best out of it.
The course will be from Monday April 22 to April 23 at 4.30pm to 8.30pm at the Hotel Constitution.
There are limited places and you need to sign up before April 17. It costs 98 euros which includes a Reserve Ham, a “jamonera” (stand to hold the ham in place), a set of knives, educational material, snacks and a diploma.
