This is the latest update on the fire in the LLano de Cabras on the Sierra Espuña that was issued this morning.
There are currently in action at the fire four fire brigades from the Rapid Intrevention Unit against forest fires (37 personel):and one helicopter from UME, the Emergency Military Unit.
The fire has affected 436 hectares of land.
The situation at 10.30am today is that the fire is under control.
During last night a revison of the perimeter was carried out (17 kilometres) and no active fronts or hot spots were reported. There were two reproductions within the burned area that were rapidly extinguished by the fire brigades.
The fire was reported early yesterday afternoon and, due to the strong winds it was difficult to control. The regional government of Murcia called in the Civil Defence Emergency Military Unit (UME). UME attended the fire with helicopters and ground fire fighters.
