There has not been one case of the coronavirus reported in Calasparra and residents are behaving in an exemplary manner in light of all the new national restrictions on movement.
This is the message from Calasparra Town Hall as it closes its doors to the public and all the other municipal spaces in the town.
Our Mayoress, Teresa Garcia, in a broadcast on public radio, says that no resident has had to be fined for breaking the new rules on freedom of movement.
“We are grateful for your collaboration and responsibility,” she said, “We ask residents to keep themselves informed and to pay attention for new nformation.
The Mayoress also announced that the Town Hall was arranging a home delivery service for basic food products and medicines for people with reduced mobility, elderly people and those who live alone.
She added that drastic measures were being applied currently in an attempt to halt the march of the virus in the community, in that only food shops were open and residents could only go out in public in cases of absolute necessity, as decreed by National Government.
The Town Hall is attending to residents by phone or by internet. To access these services go to the Ayuntamiento de Calasparra Facebook page; phone 968 720 044 or 570 25 72 54 or for any query, information or service go to calasparra.sedeelectronica.es
