If you fancy a long hard run across the mountains around Calasparra this is a reminder that the annual Half Mountain Marathon organized by the Club Alpino is taking place this weekend and there is still time to sign up.
The event is held in memory of founder member of Club Alpino, Antonio de Béjar who died tragically young. Athletes from all over the Murcia take part in the race and some fun runners too.
Start and finish is in the Gran Via and the race starts at 6.30pm on June 2.
Inscription is open until June 1 and costs 14€. Runners’ numbers can be collected after 5pm. Showers and dressing rooms are provided and each runner will receive a runners’ bag to commemorate the event.
