Where the senior Calasparra Football Club is fighting to stay out of the drop zone the junior team, F.B. Calasparra Juvenil, is enjoying an extraordinary season as league leaders.
This team of 16 to 18 year-olds has played together from a very young age and is attracting bigger and bigger crowds who often declare: “What a pleasure it is to watch this team play.”
The coaching team, all voluntary, are appealing to local readers of the NEXOnr webpage to turn out and support the team which “holds great promise for some great years of football ahead.”
“If we have more supporters and the terraces are full the team will be stronger and will achieve its object: to play in the first division.
Entrance is free and the games are usually played at the Caverina at 4.30pm on Saturdays. The next match will be on February 20 against CF Molino.
