Domestic electricity users are clubbing together to form a “collective” which can buy cheaper electricity in a campaign laun ched by the Users and Cobnsumers Organ isation (Organización de Consumidores y Usuarios (OCU).
Already 8,436 Murcian residents have singed up for the scheme which aims to reduce their electricity and gas bills. Nationwide some 375, 745 people are taking part.
The OCU plans to launch an awarerness campaign to encourage domestic customers to join the scheme.
