The CC OO and UGT Unions have suspended industrial action at ITV stations throughout the Murcia region after the ruling PP accepted two and of the three changes to the regulation privatizing the service proposed by the PSOE, Socialist group.
The two changes are that the ITV station at Alcantarilla remain a public service and that the quality of employment for ITV workers should be guaranteed.
The Socialists are also seeking support from the PP for their third proposal: that the regional government should continue to control the ITV service, and are seeking clarification on the limitations and guarantees offered.
The ITV stations in the region will return to normal tomorrow following various days of stoppages, interminable queues and hundreds of vehicles left without ITV certirficates.
