Rain at last in Calasparra after the driest year for over 60 years and some 15 litres of rain fell per square metre over the weekend.
On Saturday 5.5 litres fell and on Sunday 9.5 litres.
And it still has not stopped according to the Met Office which predicts possible thunder storms tonight and for the rest of the week.
Although today is expected to be mainly dry the storms may return tonight and tomorrow and Thursday there is between a 95 and 100% chance of storms and rain.
Friday the possiblity of rain drops by half and the weekend is expected to feature sunny spells, clouds and possibly some showers.
Temperatures will hover around the 24 and 25 degree mark although tomorrow, Wednesday, it may feel slightly warmer. Night time temperatures will gradually fall from 18 tonight to 16 degrees by Sunday.
