Local poet, Pedro Antonio Martínez Robles, has been awarded the II International Poesía José Zorrilla Poetry Prize of 3000 euros by Iniciativas Teatrales y Fundación Axa for his book “El ámbito de la luz.”
The poet told Radio Calasparra he was “very content and satisfied with the prize but felt an enormous responsilbity.”
Pedro Antonio Martínez Robles, was born in Calasparra in 1959 en Calasparra and is the author of “La llaga presentida” (2004), “Voces de la espera” (1984), for which he received Enrique Ríus Zunón Poetry Prize , and «Las manos transparentes» (2002), which received an honourable mention in the international poetry competition Miranda de Ebro (Burgos), in 1996.
