An Information Guide about the natural values associated with the traditional cultivation of Calasparra rice has been launched to coincide with World Rice Day.
The Guide, “Guíde to the Plants and Wildlife in the Rice Fields of Calasparra» (Guia de Flora y Fauna del Coto Arrocero de Calasparra). was presented by the Mayoress, Teresa García, the Head of the regional Department of the Enviroment, Juan María Vázquez, the President of the DOP, José Martínez and Martín López, Technician at the Department of the Environment, at the Rice Musuem.
The project has been 80% financed by through the Operation Programme of FEDER Murcia Region of the Direcor General of Natural Resources and 20% by the Department of the Environment, Universities, Investigations and Mar Menor.
