INDEFINITE STRIKE UNTIL COOP BOSS IS REINSTATED

The workers at the Esperanza Rice Cooperative will continue their strike for two half days a week until their boss has been reinstated and extra payments, they claim are due, are paid.
This Thursday the workforce walked out and demonstrated at the front door of the Esperanza Rice Cooperative with a banner demanding the reinstatement of their boss, José Ruiz Egea.
They say they will continue to strike two afternoons a week indefinitely or until José Egea Ruiz has been reinstated.
They also claim extra payments due to the workers in the New Year have not been paid.
The 11 workers are members of the UGT Union and say they do not understand the sacking of their boss
They have asked for a reconciliation meeting with the Executive Committee of the Cooperative in order to reach an agreement and unblock the situation.
The Cooperative, which has 150 members, has so far refused to comment on the situation.
