The latest round of strikes at Iberia have resulted in the cancellation of 76 flights with Iberia, 22 with Iberia Express, 89 with Air Nostrum, and 42 with Vueling today, Tuesday.
Around 230 flights will be grounded today on this the second day of the second week of strikes which have affected between 38,000 and 40,000 customers and 1,300 flights in this week alone.
Unions claim they are facing a mínimum of 35% drop in salaries, elimination of free days and suppression of expenses for meals and travel. The situation for the pilots is worse.
A mediator has been called in to try and resolve the dispute. He has already held separate talks with both sides.
