The Met Office is warning of another heatwave in the Murcia region this weekend with high temperatures during the day and night.
Temperatures on Saturday could reach as high as 43C and night-time temperatures will remain high with a maximum of 39C between 2 and 8am.
The heatwave will begin tomorrow and continue until Monday when the Met Office predicts it will be slightly cooler during the day (highs of 34C) although night-time temperatures will remain high.
Tonight will be the last cool night for more than a week, according to predictions, with temperatures in the low 20´s.
In Calasparra the hottest part of the day is between 3pm and 7pm but on Thursday at 11am it will already be around 30C+. The temperature is not expected to fall below 20C all night and at 10pm may be 28C.
Friday from 2 to 5pm expect temperatures to exceed 40C and stay the high 20´s all night.
Highs of 40C+ are expected on Saturday and night time temperatures are predicted to hover around 39C from 2am to 8am.
There may be some daytime relief on Sunday with highs of 37C but temperatures are expected to be around 31C between 8pm and 2am:
From Monday temperatures will drop to 34C for most of the week but night time temperatures are expected to remain in the late 20´s and early 30´s between 8pm to 2am.
Please take all the usual precautions during this heatwave. Postpone work outside and avoid going out in the hottest hours.
Alcohol and drinks with caffeine will increase the sensation of heat so drink lots of water and fruit juices. Eat light meals and attempt to stay cool.
