GREAT SUCCESS FOR CALASPARRA SOLIDARITY

The first event in the local campaign Calasparra Solidarity, organised to raise funds for local families affected by the crisis, has been pronounced a great success.
The Charity Gala in the Municipal Auditorium was a complete sell out and many local businesses sponsored the event. They include: the Chamber of Commerce, Banesto, Globalcaja, Cooperativa del Campo Virgen de la Esperanza, Restaurante Virgen de la Esperanza, Hermandad de los Santos Mártires San Abdón and San Senén, Cabildo Superior de Cofradías de Semana Santa, Televisión Calasparra, Club Taurino of Calasparra, Televisión Digital Calasparra, Fundación Amplexus, F.V. Pintura, Librería Lavador, Radio Calasparra, and Calasparra Town Hall.
Artists included: an exhibition of rhythmic gymnastics, Mª José Martínez Sandoval and Sofía Duran Espín; dance by Desirée Robles; the group ECO 21; the group of Francisco J. García Ríos, José Luís Ciller, Juanjo Gómez and José Antonio Gil; the BIG BAND CALASPARRA; the pianists Pedro Gómez Martínez and Joaquín Salinas García; the actor José Ángel Moya Martínez; the dance group“Espiga de Oro”; singer Isaac Guerrero López, the Rociero Choir of Calasparra, and presenters Maria José Gomariz and Alberto Moya.
Funds raised will go to Caritas, the Red Cross and the Friends of Sahara Association.
