The flu jab this year will be adminstered from November 7, between the hours of 9.30am to 11.30am at the local Health centre.
The vaccination is recommended for patients of 60 years or over; the chronically ill; pregnant women; carers and anyone who is at high risk of suffering complications should they contract flu.
The injection against pnuemonia, administered in two doses, one at 60 years and one at 65 years, is also available during this period.
The flu vaccination is not recommended for those who are allergic to eggs or for those under six months old.
